Main Street with Bankside on the left. Bankside is a small and ancient cottage that is a key building in the street scene and is one of four remaining thatched properties in the street. it has a visible oven built against the east wall and is seen in old photos with a huge elm immediately adjacent to this feature. This fell to disease in the 1970’s.
